Sikkens Foundation is an independent cultural foundation whose aim is to stimulate those social, cultural and scientific developments in society where colour plays a specific role. It does this primarily by awarding the Sikkens Prize, a crystal prism symbolising the phenomenon of colour, and by initiating and/or supporting projects in the field of colour applications and colour studies. Sikkens Foundation emphatically does not function as a funding body, which means that it is unable to grant requests for sponsoring cultural or other types of projects. It is, however, keen to be informed about interesting projects and developments in the field of colour studies and applications.
